Summer isn’t fun at all for parents. I have lived with Danielle’s whining for boring for 24-7 the entire week since her summer break started and my head is about to explode. I cannot wait for Benson’s return. Loan doc finally arrived today and plus I got an extended and unexpected day off because Danielle is sick. So I make “packing” as a “mommy and me” activity for the day. She packs only her own books and stuff animals and makes a big comment”Mom, moving is a lot of work.” That is very true. We had a cute conversation this afternoon.
She asked “Mom, are you glad I grow older?”
I said “I am happy you are growing up and becoming more mature.”
She said “Do you mean you are happy to get old and die soon.”
I said “Yes, I am becoming older but I don’t want to die too soon.”
She said “So you need to stay in the retirement home.”
I asked “Are you going to sent me to a retirement home?”
She answered “No, I let you stay with me at my house.”
I said “Thank you. You are very kind.”
She said “You can play on the computer whole day. Don’t worry. I’ll teach you new things. You know, technology is new every day.”
