After a week off, Danielle went back to school today. Benson and I took Michael for a hiking in the morning. It is a relaxing day for me. While Benson doing internet research for my present, I was able to spend time with my plants and take pictures of them. Then, my loving husband and daughter ask me to choose a restaurant for dinner. My choice is “Elephant Bar”.
Benson said a birthday blessing to me and asked Danielle to say blessing to mommy as well. Danielle prayed “Mommy will not die too young.” I said “Thank you” for her blessing. I told Danielle I notice her change. She becomes more responsible and very polite recently. Danielle has been doing very well on following her school assignment. She checks her own report card every week and updates her progress to me. She packs her lunch and snack. She becomes more appreciative to parents. I told her I feel respected and warm with her good attitude.
Danielle: It is because God help me.
Mommy: Do you mean God speak to you and tell you what to do?
Danielle: No. I pray God help me be a good kid.
Mommy: Then, you become a good kid?
Danielle: Not like that.
Mommy: Tell me how God help you.
Danielle: God give me opportunities to say “Thank you” and “Please”.
Mommy: God give you opportunity and you choose to follow.
Danielle: Yes.
Mommy: God always give us opportunity to say “Yes” to Him. This also apply to mommy and daddy.
This is the best present for parents --- Children know to pray for God’s help and say “Yes” to God.
I feel so blessed!
